Where did Spring end up?
..please tell me some sunshines reached you because here it’s quite cloudy :(
As you might remember we thought it would be great to enjoy our family’s villa near the Lago di Garda and relax there for a week.. apparently the weather man had other plans for us.
What bothers me most is that I promised to Rosa and Indiana they could play for hours in the garden.. well they did but they were all wetty from head to paws, rain never left us.
Even if we had to stay home we did relax a lot and had fun and we even had our private little lake ;)
How amazing is that? Having a lake in the garden with tiny golden fishes swimming around is a bless, who needs to go at the Lago di Garda at this point?!
Indeed Indiana and I spent the morning out there, smelling pretty flowers and listening some funny birdie stories, I bet Rosa was much more interested to catch those birds (wild nature).
Hopefully the sun will soon be up here and we will get the chance to come back and visit the actuall Lake which is a dream, during summer people love to swim in there and I must admit that sounds weird to me since I grew up near the sea but for sure it must be a great experience!
Now we are heading back in Milan and I’m so excited, my sister is coming over with my 2 beautiful nieces and it couldn’t get better, love family time!!!
Wish you a great day out there ♥
hope you are all doing good!
I just had the most delicious lunch and thought to share it with you :)
In Milan is incredibily hot and I could easily go through the day by only eating italian gelato but I don’t think that’s a good advice. So I got back to my favorite fresh and light salad!
This is by far the most versatile meal for summer time and it takes only seconds to prep it.
Just chop some baby spinach leaves, slice some avocado, dice 1/2 mango, add some red onion if you like and go with your favorite seasoning, lemon drops are a must so don’t skip it (you can top with poppy seeds or even sesame). Put in the fridge so you can enjoy it pretty chilled. I always prepare a huge bowl and keep it in the fridge so when I have those crazy cravings for something sweet but healthy I fill in my little tummy. Guilt-free, weee!
Now I have to go and pack a few things, we are going at Lago di Garda which is by far the most breathtaking lake of Italy, believe me this lake looks most like ocean, is huge!! We are spending a week there since our family owns a beautiful villa in the city and I think it would be great to also take Rosa and Indiana with us so they can enjoy the huge garden. Those little guys go nuts on grass.
The camera will be with me so I’ll try to take lots of pics.
Enjoy Spring ♥
Good morning ♥
Fancy a quick deliciously healthy smoothie?
Hands down this is by far the best smoothie to start the day..just look at it!
It’s proved that colour in food does miracles for our mood and this is a pleasure for eyes and soul!
To create the Green layer I used:
1 handful of baby spinach
Put the ingredients in your blender and until smooth. Pour into a glass and place in freezer while preping the red layer.
For the Red layer I only used 1/2 Banana and Strawberries (!)
Put them in your previously cleaned blender until smooth. Now take off the freezer the green layer and slowly pour onto it the red layer..and ENJOY!
Trust me this will highly boost your immune system and the color game will add the extra happiness you need to start the day :)
Now I have in mind some other color mixes.. I could easily create the Italian flag or even better..
a Rainbow in a glass!!!
..it’s an Italian idiom to describe the lazy mornings we all have in Spring!
Apparently not only humans have days like these ;)
Today is really hot in Milan and coffee doesn’t make it beter, I guess it’s time to switch it with fresh homemade smoothies, which I love! What about you, how do you struggle the reaaaly hot days?
Now it’s time to get ready, I have a shopping appointment with a friend later.
Wish you a wonderful day out there Xx
